Restaurant snapshot: Oktoberfest for the entree

333 St. Charles Ave. (between Gravier & Perdido Streets)
New Orleans, LA 70130

It's October and, in addition to the hope for cooler weather, comes the yen for a German dish or two.

While it is not the traditional one-month-a-year Oktoberfest menu and no one is doing the chicken dance, John Besh's Luke is perfect for New Orleans: a casual Franco-German brasserie serving Alsatian onion tart and Jagerschnitzel along with traditional Louisiana seafood dishes.
