NOLA Brewery hosts a Friday installment of their yoga/beer series on Friday.

Thursday - Saturday / The Tempest : As part of the New Orleans Shakespeare Festival, Promethean theatre company presents a production of Shakespeare's last play, The Tempest. The production, which was built from the talents of several local talents -- from actors, to set designers, to musicians -- will be performed in the Bywater at the Old Iron Works (612 Piety Street) at 7:30 p.m. each day. Tickets are $15.

Friday / Hot Gleauxga : Newly expanded and remodeled NOLA Brewery (3001 Tchopitoulas) hosts a Friday night iteration of their Hot Yoga, Cold Brew series with Hot Gleauxga at 8 p.m. The complimentary yoga class, led by Jacksun Slaughter from Swan River Yoga Mid-City Mandir, will feature glow sticks and beer (for purchase) following. Must be 21 years to attend.

 

Friday - Sunday / French Film Fest : The New Orleans Film Society will present the 18th installment of their annual French film festival, featuring 12 French films, including two classics from celebrated auteur Alain Resnais, new work from contemporary master Francois Ozon and the Louisiana premiere of Bertrand Bonello’s Saint Laurent. Sunday / VetLaunch gala: Veteran incubator VetLaunch will host a gala benefitint the program, as well as several other veteran-focused causes, from 7 - 10 p.m.in the WWII Museum’s Boeing Freedom Pavillion (945 Magazine Street). Event highlights include a screening of MURPH: The Protector, a documentary based on the honor, courage and commitment of Navy SEAL LT Michael P. Murphy, who gave his life for his men during Operation Red Wings; a Q&A session with the documentary director, Scott Mactavish; a full dinner from the chefs of American Sector; and a live performance of the documentary’s soundtrack from Oscar contender and former VetLaunch cohort, Jeff Widenhofer. Tickets are $15. general admission / $25o VIP.

Sunday / Freret Street Block Party: As part of Tale sot the Cocktails programming, Freret Street restaurants and bars will participate in a block party. At four establishments (High Hat Cafe from 5 - 7 p.m., Cure from 6 - 8 p.m., Company Burger from 7 - 9 p.m. and Publiq House from 8 p.m. - midnight) along the street, duos of Tales bartenders will pop up and serve signature drinks. The event will also feature food specials and live music.
