VIDEO: 'The Curator at the WWII Museum'

As New Orleans locals and visitors alike know, the cities National WWII Museum boasts an extensive and carefully curated collections of American artifacts from WWII. In addition to the articles on display, the museum posses additional collections used for research purposes that are kept out of sight, tucked away inside vaults.

Cory Clutter, a film student in the Department of Film and Theatre at the University of New Orleans, recently went inside a museum vault, where he spoke with WWII Museum curator Eric Rivet. Rivet discusses aspects of the museum's curatorial process and handles and explains some of his favorite articles in the museum’s gun collection -- from pieces used in Star Wars to rare assassination weapons.
