UNO documentary: Avery Strada and Rebuilding Hope in New Orleans (RHINO)

Who: Avery Strada and volunteers at the St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church’s RHINO (Rebuilding Hope in New Orleans) program. In the past six years, RHINO has gutted more than 300 homes, built 22 Habitat for Humanity houses and brought more than 5,000 people to the city.

Editor’s Note: NolaVie partners with students of UNO professor László Zsolt Fülöppairing them with artists, non-profits, environmental groups, and cultural entities to facilitate a live curriculum that results in a short documentary. In this short doc entitled, “Rebuilding Hope,” Kubitza interviews director Avery Strada. 

The Film and Theatre Department of UNO and NolaVie present this weekly series of short films produced by the students in Laszlo Fulop’s documentary class.
