NOLA Brewing teams up with Rebirth Brass Band to offer charitable Pale Ale

rebirth roots of music

On Wednesday night at a celebration featuring The Roots of Music Marching Crusaders with Derrick Tabb and other members of the iconic Rebirth Brass Band, NOLA Brewing released its brand new Rebirth Pale Ale. The American style pale ale features five malt varieties and Cascade, Simcoe and Citra hops. A portion of the proceeds from retail sales of the Rebirth Pale Ale will go to The Roots of Music, a non-profit youth music education organization that was co-founded by Rebirth drummer Derrick Tabb. The Roots of Music provides free music education, instruments, transportation and hot meals to New Orleans children from low-income families in order to help preserve the musical tradition of the Crescent City.

NOLA Brewing’s close connection to the South Louisiana music scene continues to grow and this symbolic, charitable ale once again amps up the synergy between this five-year old 7th Street brewery and local musicians. Recent events sponsored and/or hosted by NOLA Brewing include the recent T Bois Blues Festival in Larose, Hogs for the Cause in City Park and the brewery’s own fifth anniversary celebration last month featuring Earphunk, Colin Lake and more.

Look for the Rebirth Pale Ale tap at local bars like Molly’s at the Market, The Bulldog and more. The brewery is set to host their 6th Annual Easter Egg Keg Hunt tomorrow.
