Meet: Dis & Dat. Skip Murray, co-owner of the insanely popular trio of hot dog-eries, Dat Dog, has focused his restauranteuring interests into another meaty American classic – the burger. Similar to Dat Dog, Dis & Dat (2540 Banks) offers a menu that allows customers to choose a protein (a selection of both burger patties — from beef to fish to veg, and a similar variety of sausages from Dat Dog) and garnish to their hearts’ content from a vast selection of free toppings. Also like Dat Dog, Dis & Dat offers a generously sized patio dappled in color and  white Christmas lights and. Dis & Dat is open 11 AM – 11 PM Tuesday – Sunday.

Eat: Mopho’s 50-pack of wings. Aside from a loss, nothing kills game day morale quite like a sad platter of soggy, unnaturally orange wings.

Every Saints game day, Mid City Vietnamese restaurant (and a purveyor of excellent Asian-sytle wings) MoPho (514 City Park Ave)– a recent nominee in Bon Appetit’s 2014 listing of America’s best new restaurants — offers 50-piece take-away packs ($50) of their oversized, succulent yet crispy wings, flavored with lemongrass and ginger. Call ahead (504-482-6845 ) to place your order.

Drink: The expanded cobbler menu at Bellocq.

As we approach a seasonal change, CBD craft cocktail bar Bellocq (936 St. Charles) is rolling out a new drink and food menu with a selection of fall-appropriate bites (including crispy lamb dirty rice with a mint remoulade and grilled country bread with your selection of fixings — from smoked gulf fish to beet humus to pickled egg salad) and sips. Although the house cocktail menu has changed considerably, it’s the expansion of the cobbler selection (10 cobblers in total — six new and four from the previous menu) that is perhaps most exciting.

Two standouts among the new cobblers are the yellow chartreuse cobbler ($10.95), which combines herbal notes with jalapeño and lemon, as well as the mescal cobbler ($11.95), a blend of mescal’s smoky complexity, strawberries’ sweet acidity and punt y mes’ bitterness.

Patrons can catch a preview of the new menu, complete with free sample bites and a punch special, tonight from 9-11 PM.

Sweat: If your health is not enough motivation to get yourself moving, looking like an idiot at a dance audition might be.

For the next three weeks, New Orleans dance group Gris Gris Strut will hold their first ever series of six dance workshops to prime hopeful troupe members before auditions on September 28. At workshops classes, participants will learn original Gris Gris parade and stage choreography from troupe leader Cherie that will not only double as a workout but also help them at auditions.

The workshop is $65 for all 6 classes / $35 for 3 classes (Thursday or Friday only) / $13 for each drop-in class. If you bring a friend, you will receive a 10% discount. All levels of dance are welcome. Wear comfortable shoes. To register email Cherie Pitre.

Troupe auditions will be held on Sunday 28 from noon – 2:30 at the Bywater Art Lofts (3725 Dauphine St), before which workshop participants will be able to review the choreography with the class for an hour.

Wear: Liquor bracelets by Luxe Vintage Rival. It’s no secret that New Orleans is a city that loves its booze. So it seems only natural that we have the option of, quite literally, wearing our liquor preferences.

Ecclectic Lower Garden District boutique Miette ( 2038 Magazine) is selling liquor-inspired bracelets made by Luxe Vintage Rival, a Texas-based jeweler (also available for sale on Etsy) that crafts Limited edition jewelry assembled from antique and vintage components from 1870-1970. The bracelets ($42) are made of vintage metal platelets embossed with paisley detailing surrounding the words “rum,” “bourbon,” or “scotch.” Vodka, gin and wine purists, sorry, you’ll just have to find another way to wear your drink.
