ET CETERA

Meet:  Buff Beauty Bar.  This über chic pampering pad in the CBD is one of many new beauty bars popping up around town.  In my book, Buff is a stand out for their long lasting manicures.  They use top of the line products, which results in the polish staying on forever. Along with mani-pedis, they offer blow-outs and facials. (Can’t wait to try the Dr. Dennis Gross peel!). Bonus: you can book appointments online.
Eat:  A five-course tasting menu while listening to the critically acclaimed Evan Christopher at Pearl Wine Co. Tucked into the American Can Building, Pearl Wine is the new Cork & Bottle.  This $60 tasting evening next Thursday, June 20, is all inclusive, but spots are filling up fast, so click here to reserve now.  Chicken Rilletes and Rhone red? Yes, please.
Drink:  Wine in an environmentally friendly to-go glass. Appreciate the perks of living in a city that openly allows public drinking and pick up a case of these reusable “govino” wine glasses.  (I grabbed a box last week when I spotted them at St. James Cheese Co.).  Because who doesn’t like to end their day with a glass of rosé and a stroll? But please don’t buy the decanter.  Too far.
Jet:  In style from the recently revived Art deco Lakefront Airport.  I don’t know about you, but this time of year my mind is dancing with day dreams about Southern France.  Nothing like an imaginary private plane to help speed up the work day.
Dwell:  Here if you can (get it?).  The pool itself looks worthy of putting my house on the market. Then add a PJ’s, wine bar, wine shop, hair salon, gym, and Italian food and I’ll throw in my husband and call it an even trade. Anyone?
