As you probably know, the city will be a sea of white on Saturday (for White Linen Night), but that doesn’t mean you can’t freckle your weekend with some red and blue too.
On Saturday, the WWII Museum opens the Bob Hope: an American Treasure exhibit, a traveling display sponsored by the World Golf Hall of Fame. The exhibit, consisting of videos, vintage photographs, and original memorabilia, will feature fifteen themed displays – ranging from Hope’s accomplishments in comedy and entertainment to his relationships with US presidents, to his family’s immigration to Ellis Island. The exhibit will run in the Joe W.W. and D.D. Brown Special Exhibit Gallery until October 27. It is free and open to the public.
On Thursday, there will be an opening reception at 5:30 PM; a Presentations and Q&A session with Hope’s Granddaughter, Miranda Hope; and exhibit preview from 7-8. The event is free and open to the public. Click here to RSVP.
